The Char Baby concept came to me during a break between owning busy suburban cafés and I was looking for a new challenge. I’ve been a chef for more than 20 years and worked in some amazing places, among them as a private chef in Switzerland, Turkey and Greece. Travel inspires my palate. The world is an amazing and big place and if I could travel to a different destination every time I felt hungry, I would be the happiest woman in the world. That’s how I feel about food. I want spicy, sour, sweet, soft, salty, smooth, crunchy, chewy, juicy…chin wipe-ingly delicious…I want the world on a plate!
